RAW CUTS: X CLUB

Not every Halloween-week party needs a costume. RAW CUTS returns to the skatepark with X CLUB., who play with speed and release, letting hard-driving grooves suddenly crack open into something euphoric. Michelle Kay brings a deeper, tribal hypnosis; Lana Vese makes her debut; duco b2b y2aura add a looser club edge. No phones, no VIP, just dance.

Vortex presents: An Evening of Trance Films

Vortex turns a film screening into an exercise in altered perception. Maya Deren and Alexander Hammid’s dreamlike shorts lose their original soundtracks as local DJs build new scores of trance and techno around them. COVE, Cow Tools, dj33L and stress tess reshape the mood in real time, suspending each film somewhere between cinema, dream state and dancefloor.

Halloween Nonstop: DJ Stingray, Convextion, Rene Wise, Juliana Huxtable, DJ Koolt + more

Halloween at Nowadays unfolds like one very long spell. Convextion starts in outer-space electronics, DJ Stingray sends Saturday morning into high-voltage motion, and Juliana Huxtable keeps reality slippery. Philippa Pacho and Rene Wise take the afternoon deeper and darker, before DJ Koolt and Vladimir Ivkovic carry Sunday into acid, haze and the beautifully disoriented end of the weekend.

MERGE HALLOWEEN

Fourteen hours gives MERGE plenty of time to cast a proper spell. Fadi Mohem brings the machines to life before Robert Hood strips techno to its hypnotic core. Ignez stretches four hours into a slow, oceanic trance before Phase Fatale b2b Ne/Re/A darken the edges into Saturday afternoon. David Padilla shapes the artwork, Studio GUMGUM the light, and subBass Soundsystems the physical force underneath it all.

Mark Broom, Julia Govor / Blue Hour, Neel / Yasmeenah

Public Records gives Halloween three different gravitational pulls. Julia Govor twists the Sound Room into stranger shapes before Mark Broom settles into rolling, old-school swagger. In the Atrium, Neel builds a surreal, layered atmosphere before Blue Hour cracks it open with acid and rave euphoria. Upstairs, Yasmeenah follows the rich lineage of Black diasporic music wherever the mood takes her.

Herrensauna: MCMLXXXV / SALOME / LORD ASA / CEM / Dee Diggs / Sevyn Love

Halloween suits Herrensauna’s appetite for beautiful disorder. MCMLXXXV turns unpredictability into an art form, ricocheting from twisted psychedelia to huge euphoric peaks; SALOME cuts through with glacial electro, and LORD ASA keeps the pressure deliciously close to the edge. Studio loosens the grip with CEM’s shadowy versatility, Dee Diggs’ soulful house lineage and Sevyn Love’s high-impact sensuality.

Halloween: Boris, Juana, VILE + DJ SWISHA, nextdimensional

Paragon stacks Halloween with several generations of underground instinct. Boris brings the warmth, sensuality and playfulness of a lifelong club obsessive; Juana brings dark, acid-laced techno with a deep-house undertow, while VILE brings steely techno and otherworldly tension. DJ SWISHA sends the room sideways with juke and bass before nextdimensional floats into ethereal techno, hypnotic breaks and rave haze.

CRUD0 3 YEARS OF RAW SOUND

CRUDO celebrates three years the way it began: long hours, raw sound and nowhere for the music to hide. Cleric keeps the groove relentless but atmospheric; DLV brings a stripped-back rave discipline; TonalTheory hits with percussion and melodic sparks; Q:BX lets the night move from mist into muscle. Phones stay away.

bumpy!

bumpy! is MERGE with the windows thrown open. The new queer daytime party stretches well beyond techno, beginning with S’aint Panic b2b Will Automagic’s deep club knowledge before Dee Diggs brings house with heart. Narciss turns emotion into lift, and Fadi Mohem closes on unfamiliar territory, trading his usual hypnotic techno for house.
