October opens at BASEMENT with bass in the bloodstream. Zenker Brothers, Pangaea and re:ni represent three generations of the space where techno meets UK bass: from the Zenkers’ spacious, broken grooves to Pangaea’s genre mutations and re:ni’s finely controlled pressure. Studio offers the counterpoint, with The Carry Nation, Analog Soul and Alexis De La Rosa tracing house through liberation, lineage and pure dancefloor pleasure.

99 Scott gets a particularly colorful version of techno this Friday. Vladimir Dubyshkin’s live sets have a habit of wandering somewhere weird without losing the floor; PETERBLUE throws Latin rhythm and rave energy into the mix, while A.K.R keeps things grounded in percussion and groove. Come early, the night is designed to reveal itself slowly.

Joris Voorn’s Trip to Galaxy reconnects with the deeper, more hypnotic side of techno: driving rhythms keep the body moving while flashes of melody give the journey its emotional pull. New York-rooted Ramsey Neville and YAZZ fit the vision naturally. Ramsey with raw, immersive grooves that slowly pull you under, YAZZ with deep, atmospheric techno and electro designed to let the room disappear around you. A lineup made for losing track of everything except movement.

A veteran of New York techno meets one of its newer rhythmic voices in the Sound Room. Volvox brings nearly two decades of dancefloor instinct, dark techno, acid and electro. AZA answers with deep hypnosis and polyrhythmic swing. In the Atrium, Space Drum Meditation fuse live percussion, esoteric instrumentation and electronics into something almost ceremonial, while Laurence Matte stretches the mood into slow-burning psychedelia. Upstairs, bbbBbBB keeps the boundaries porous, moving freely between techno, electro and bass.

DOUBLEHEADER: ALT8 x Pawlowski
ALT8 and Pawlowski meet in the space between nostalgia and adrenaline. ALT8 brings the soaring side of early-2000s rave, all trance, emotion and restless basslines, while Pawlowski answers with acid, hard-edged techno and a distinctly ’90s sense of urgency. Adam Meliani and Øme fill out the bill.

MERGE all night long: Rrose
Rrose gets the keys to MERGE for the night. Their techno works like a hallucinogen in slow motion: pulses overlap, frequencies bend, and sounds seem to change shape depending on where you stand. A whole night of tension, texture and beautiful disorientation.

Resurface starts in daylight and lets the mood darken naturally. Auspex brings spiraling, psychedelic techno with a deep hypnotic pull, while Elle Dee answers with rugged, kinetic rhythms and relentless momentum. Bsv9 and Danilo complete the lineup for an afternoon that should feel looser in the sun and stranger after dark.

RAW CUTS x House of Yes: DJ Minx, Bridge, JMT
RAW CUTS brings Detroit history into one of Brooklyn’s most exuberant rooms. DJ Minx moves with the ease of someone who’s lived house music for decades; Bridge brings gospel, disco and joyful theatricality, usually with a look worth its own moment, while Detroit’s JMT adds house, techno and ghettotech with a younger pulse. The wider RAW CUTS crew keeps the night moving, and their production has a knack for turning strong sets into ones that hold up beautifully on the revisit.
