This weekend in New York: October 16, 2026
Juliana Huxtable / Anika Kunst / VILE / Pablo Bozzi / Byron Yeates / Kim Ann Foxman

Friday splits BASEMENT into two very different fantasies. Juliana Huxtable returns with the kind of genre-warping worldbuilding that makes a set feel slightly unhinged, joined by Anika Kunst’s decades-deep vinyl instinct and VILE’s eerie, surreal futurism. Studio belongs to Second Sight, where Pablo Bozzi’s late-’80s and early-’90s romanticism meets Byron Yeates’ genre-spanning curiosity and Kim Ann Foxman’s jacking acid-house sensuality.

Night & Day: Shed (LIVE), 1morning, LYDO, Juana, Kamran Sadeghi, Concrete Husband

Signal lets this one unfold all the way from darkness into daylight. Shed performs live from a catalogue where bare-bones techno can suddenly give way to breakbeats, hardcore or melancholy. 1morning brings stripped-back ’90s and early-2000s swing, while Juana reaches into darker Chicago lineage. LYDO, Kamran Sadeghi and Concrete Husband pull at the edges with sound art, sculptural electronics and psychological tension.

Refuge Friday: ÄGAPĒ with Adam X, Fran LF, Frankie Bones & Perc

Frankie Bones celebrates 60 with a lineup rooted in New York rave history. Alongside brother Adam X, he helped build the city’s early warehouse culture through STORMrave and Groove/Sonic Groove, bringing UK rave’s communal spirit back to Brooklyn. Bones also helped popularize the PLUR ethos that became part of rave culture’s social DNA. Perc brings the industrial bite, cotton carries Brooklyn’s techno lineage forward, and Fran LF brings a younger take on classic techno.

Dr. Rubinstein / The Advent / 98dots / Jay Jackson (fka.m4a) / Lauren Flax / Rumi de Baires

Downstairs is all acid, steel and psychedelic electricity. Dr. Rubinstein turns the room into a pressure cooker with a grin, The Advent brings the kind of machine-funk only three decades can sharpen, and 98dots pushes things into a more thunderous, psychedelic vision. Studio answers with Jay Jackson’s emotional rave maximalism and Lauren Flax’s blend of acid and funk, while Rumi de Baires closes the loop with house that runs warm and steamy.

RUSH presents - Funk Tribu: Day & Night

This one changes personality as the sun goes down. Outside, Funk Tribu leads with bright trance and open-air euphoria, joined by LOVEFOXY’s jubilant ’90s house, x3butterfly’s adventurous club mutations and groove-forward house from NYC Rave Girls’ own Ksenyeah. After dark, Afem Syko brings the menace, Innamorati tunnels deeper and Supergloss collides throttling techno with euphoric trance before Funk Tribu returns for round two.

RAW CUTS Records: JT Donaldson

Green Room is quickly becoming one of our favorite little corners of Brooklyn. Among the botanicals, JT Donaldson brings deep, soulful house with jazz and funk running through its veins, while Tim Lucent, Jack Mulqueen, La Vega, shanty mane, Willy Gorgon, Liv Lawson, MANE and Notar fill out the night with soulful house, dusty disco and easygoing groove. House music in a greenhouse, RAW CUTS style.

Mister Sunday: Aurora Halal and Justin Carter

Mister Sunday gets one of those pairings that feels completely at home in the yard. Justin Carter sets the afternoon in motion before Aurora Halal takes it somewhere hazier and more psychedelic, balancing sensual drift with metallic intensity. They meet for the final hour, where Justin’s warm, floor-reading instinct and Aurora’s stranger pull should make for a beautifully open-ended finish.
